The Board and Management of the Australian Furniture Association have taken the important decision to terminate its License Agreement with Informa Exhibitions for the management and delivery of Furnitex.
‘As the peak governing body for the Australian Furniture industry, the AFA has reviewed the performance of this key event and determined that its purpose is no longer consistent with the vision of the Association and its members,’ says AFA Chairman Carlo Gosatti.
‘The AFA’s role has evolved to be a truly national body which seeks to continually improve its support of the members and the Australian Furniture Industry as a whole. The model which was being delivered was at odds with the AFA’s objectives and industry needs,’ he said.
‘This decision has not been taken lightly. Our action is based on member’s feedback and is aligned with the Strategic Plan of the Association and our vision to take Australian furniture into every room in the world,’ he concluded.
