The Australian Furniture Association is pleased to announce the Australian Made Campaign’s support of the upcoming Australian International Furniture Exhibition and continued support of the Australian Furniture Industry Awards at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne this July.

AFA CEO, Patrizia Torelli says ‘We continue to enjoy the strong commitment shown by Australian Made Campaign towards our industry. We require a high level of commitment and contribution from all our partners, particularly in this, the first year of this ground breaking exhibition,’ she said. ‘Having Australian Made on board simply reinforces our strategic direction and sends a clear message to consumers to buy Australian made.’

‘We are passionate about ensuring the ongoing success and prosperity of this industry – we know that Australian Made products are internationally recognised for the quality of design and craftsmanship, not to mention the uniqueness of Australian materials which are so prized and sought after. We know that we are designing and creating amazing things’ said Ms. Torelli.

The support of the Australian Made Campaign is a pivotal part to the success of both the Exhibition and the Awards, as the Australian furniture industry prepares to take on the world.

“The Australian Made Campaign is all about ensuring a better future for Australians. We are proud to align the Australian Made logo with the Australian Furniture Industry Awards,” Australian Made Chief Executive, Ian Harrison, said.

The Australian International Furniture Exhibition is on at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne from 11 – 13 July 2014.

The Australian Furniture Industry Awards will be presented at a cocktail event on Saturday 12 July at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne.
