The AFA has been informed that unscrupulous event organisers are continuing to sell other trade show as Furnitex. There is only one Furnitex exhibition in 2015 – don’t be misled.
The Furnitex show running since 1989 was relaunched earlier this year as FURNITEX connect, with Expertise Events the only event company authorised to promote and conduct the event. There is no other event being conducted using the FURNITEX brand, intellectual property, or industry reach – FURNITEX connect is your industry trade show which has evolved to incorporate a number of additional activities to increase business opportunities.
As you may be aware, Informa is no longer associated with the Australian Furniture Association (AFA) or the running of the FURNITEX show or Australian International Furniture Exhibition (AIFE). We have further heard from concerned businesses regarding confusion over the shows they are being offered or have signed up for, with some businesses led to believe they are signing with the official organisers of FURNITEX connect when they are in fact speaking to someone other than Expertise Events.
If you are being sold or promoted the idea and or brand of FURNITEX, but are not speaking to the AFA or Expertise Events, you are not speaking with the organisers of FURNITEX connect, and may be misled into signing up for the wrong exhibition. Anyone who has already made bookings with other event organisers should seek a refund if they feel they have been misled.
AFA is proud to present FURNITEX connect, a new show with quality exhibition features and exhibitors as well as new educational initiatives, under a new management provider, Expertise Events.
If you have concerns surrounding your current booking or require further information to make a booking, please contact the AFA on (03) 9856 1600 or Expertise Events on (02) 9452 7575.
