More than 17,500 new aged care places will be delivered across the country, worth an estimated $833 million, following the conclusion of the 2014 Aged Care Approvals Round (ACAR).

For AFA Members delivering products and services this represents a major growth opportunity. The health sector reports that with the youngest baby boomer now 50 years old, the aged care sector is increasing due to demand. The ACAR is the process that allocates funding for new Government residential aged care and home care places and for capital grants each year.
