Over Twenty Four smart businesses are new to or back to FURNITEX connect! After years of absence, some of Australia’s largest furniture industry leaders are joining forces to exhibit at the ONLY industry led furniture related show in 2015, which is set to keep its promise to deliver a new style of event for the industry, by the industry.
‘It’s been a chicken and egg situation this year as some have been cautious, and rightly so,’ says Event Director, Gary Fitz-Roy. ‘We acknowledge and thank those who have had faith in our ability to reinvigorate one of the truly great industry shows and who booked early, have been loyal exhibitors for many years, but I am thrilled to see that there has been a greater show of strength now that the level of commitment by a number of the bigger groups have been announced. We have a few surprises to be rolled out and know we can take FURNITEX connect to a new level over previous years,’ he says.
FURNITEX connect will be held from 9 July to 12 July 2015 at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Melbourne, the NEW HOME of this iconic industry event
‘In order for us to deliver the best results we had to have industry commitment to our strategic approach to deliver the outcomes that the industry has been demanding for years,’ says Patrizia Torelli, CEO of the Australian Furniture Association. ‘Finally we have some traction, with new business attracted to the exciting offering that is FURNITEX connect, and established businesses leading the charge because they know and recognise that an event such as this is critical to our industry. For the AFA Team, the announcements are a testament to the resilience of the industry to be part of the solution, not the problem. It’s great to see our industry colleagues getting out of the cycle of gossip and innuendo and making sound business decisions to suit their own business and the industry as a whole. This is an international event and this national Association is making it happen.’
‘The commitment to reposition and rebuild FURNITEX, to connect the industry and make QUALITY the focus in both the category of Exhibitor and Buyers, is a brave one,’ says Mr Fitz-Roy. ‘We’re really excited to be working with a team that has the courage to give the industry what it wants and needs. FURNITEX connect is the heart of the industry with a plan for the future other shows relish!’ he concludes.
