The AFA is pleased to once again be part of the Perth Pallet Challenge in2015. To help celebrate National Youth Week the Food, Fibre and Timber Industries Training Council hosts the annual Perth Pallet Challenge.

Wood Trades Apprentices are supplied with 3 pallets and invited to produce pieces for submission to the challenge. 2014 saw thirteen apprentices create projects of extremely high standards. The event was very well received by the public and produced some very positive outcomes.

The Minister for Local Government and Communities, the Honourable Tony Simpson MLA, was also an interested spectator and spent a great deal of time chatting with the apprentices.

The AFA is the Major prize sponsor, contributing to the $500 prize plus a Basic Membership level package and a free student membership to all entries.
