The AFA sadly advises of the passing of Mr Philip Pringle. Phil was known by many in the industry either as a work colleague in the Vocational Education and Training System or as a teacher of the many Wood Machining students he taught.

He commenced his teaching career in Western Australia and later moved to Victoria to continue his career as an Educator in the field of Wood Machining at Collingwood Institute of Technology which would later become Northern Melbourne Institute of Technology (Heidelberg) and then Kangan Institute (Broadmeadows).

Phil cared about his students, and the future of the Wood Machining Sector of the Industry. His drive, enthusiasm and friendship will be sadly missed by all who knew him. On behalf of the AFA Board of Directors, Staff and wider Membership community we pass on our condolences to Phil’s family and loved ones.
