About the role   
As our Installer, you will be responsible for the quality installation of our office furniture at our clients sites. You will use your expertise to share and upskill the existing team of 4. Also you will ensure the timely delivery of goods to our customers and be responsible for the integrity of the furniture en- route, overseeing the loading and unloading processes and quality installation of the furniture by yourself, the expert, and the team. This is a 38 hour per week, Monday to Friday, full-time permanent position based at our new custom built, state of the art premises in Smithfield. You will be a customer centric person willing to provide the best service to our customers. You will be passionate about furniture, relationship building and a quality finish of a quality product. Willing to go the extra mile whilst performing the following core responsibilities:

  • Install and fitout each project at our clients site
  • Share your craft and mentor the existing team member to upskill them
  • Provide first class customer service
  • Drive company vehicle (Van/Truck) to destinations in accordance with regulations and company procedures
  • Load and unload either individually or with assistance, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment
  • Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight
  • Inspect vehicles for defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after trips
  • Submit pre-trip inspections and if required, Vehicle Defect reports on truck and trailing equipment prior to commencing shift
  • Ensure that all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered

About you

  • Prior experience as an Installer of furniture is mandatory

  • Able to apply a common-sense approach to problem solving and decision making
  • A valid current drivers license (C class) mandatory
