The Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR) invites you to join us in Adelaide on the 16-17 October 2024 for the inaugural Australian Resource Recovery Conference.
The waste and resource recovery (WARR) sector receives 76 million tonnes of material each year of which we are currently recovering 62% nationally.
With Australia committed to a resource recovery target of 80% by 2030, as well as a goal to reduce total waste generated by 10% in the same timeframe, we have a lot to do.
WMRR’s new Australian Resource Recovery Conference aims to brings together operators, practitioners, policymakers, regulators, and product developers from across the country to discuss all aspects of recovering material, making products, and keeping them circulating for as long as possible, including its clear role in addressing both emissions and biodiversity loss.
The conference will look at all material streams and supporting infrastructure, and explore the necessary policy and regulatory settings, infrastructure planning, market development, and the technology available and/or needed to achieve the 2030 targets.
