The Australian Furniture Association (AFA) is proud to have been a contributor to the recently released Guide for the Design of Safe Infant Sleeping environments.
Products featured in the Guide include, but are not limited to, household cots, portable cots, bassinets, cradles, bedside sleepers, mattresses, pillows, and other devices and associated accessories that may be used in an infant’s sleep environment. The AFA takes the safety of infants, toddlers and children very seriously and commends the expertise and specialist advice provided by experts in the field who contributed to the Guide. The AFA recommends consumers only purchase Cots and Mattresses from AFA Members which meet the Mandatory Standards and have been Tested and Certified by AFRDI.
