SUMMARY:
The role of the Production Supervisor is to ensure the team of sewers work productively, complete all allocated sewing work effectively, on time and to the highest quality.
Responsibility –
Team Supervision:
Duties – Receives instruction from Manager as to daily production requirements. Reviews and organises daily jobs for team. Responsible for direct supervision of all sewing work, whilst also being a hands-on sewer in the team. Performs pattern matching, as required. Provides training for new and current sewers in the team. Works on new designs and samples and provides advice, sewing etc. Performs annual stock-take assistance. Liaises with Customer Service and carries out any repairs required. Liaises with Design team. Liaises with the Visual Merchandising team regarding all flocking issues. Liaises with the Marketing team regarding all marketing issues.
Key Performance Indicators – Critical path achieved in line with agreed timeframes and standards. Projects delivered within scope. Displays leadership to ensure employee performance and engagement.
Machines, materials and working environment:
Duties – Assists with maintenance of sewing machines, sharpening of scissors and knives etc. Ensures a clean and tidy work area, no obstacles in pathways, no leaking oils in machines etc.
Key Performance Indicators – Maintenance, safety and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
Quality:
Duties – Adheres to all Procedures and Policies. Sets high standards of performance for self and others. Assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks and meeting the required standards. Self-imposes standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed. Is punctual and responsible

Relationship Management:
Duties – Builds and maintains communication channels with key stakeholders of the business. Maintains strong relationships with the internal teams and other key external stakeholders and ensure requests are responded to in a timely manner.

Team Work:
Duties – Works collaboratively within Purchasing, Product and Design teams. Promotes a positive work environment. Carries out any other task, as requested.

Duties – Ensures work practices are in line with workplace health and safety requirements. Identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee safety and upholds safety standards.
