Suppliers of Office desks, office workstations, tables intended to be used as office desks, or the increasingly
popular sit-stand desks can expect that their customers will request that products meet the new Standard.
The Australian/New Zealand Standard, AS/NZS 4442:2018, has just been published. It replaces the 1997 versions of desk and workstation standards.
The major changes are:
1. Stricter Sit-to-Stand desk requirements
2. Revised ergonomics requirements
3. Tests revised and updated to meet current design requirements
4. Standards for 4442 desks and 4443 workstations are now merged into one Standard 4442
